Instead of only private offices and cubicles, the redesigned space consists of a variety of settings for various types of work and interaction. Employees can choose to work in one setting for private conversations, another setting for focused computer work, and then another for meeting with a group of colleagues.
Fishbeck designed and performed construction management for the renovation of the Bissell executive offices. The work consisted of demolishing the exterior glass and interior of the original 1958 executive offices prior to constructing a new exterior curtainwall glazing system.
To create an atmosphere considerate of a mixture of generations a phased implementation plan intended to slowly support a cultural shift was initiated. A handful of building core improvements became the catalyst for visible change.
Fishbeck’s Grand Rapids office recently underwent a renovation bringing an open workspace concept to our Architectural Department. This new flexible layout helps foster collaboration and promotes learning.
