With a local hospital wanting to expand onto the 14-acre Municipal Service Center site, the City of Marquette was faced with the need to replace their existing facility as quickly as possible. Fishbeck was retained by the City to plan, design, and construct their replacement Municipal Service Center.
Programming for the new building included vehicle maintenance, vehicle storage, shops, integrated warm and cold storage, an automated truck wash bay, and 15,000 sf of offices for Public Works, engineering, and other City departments. In addition to the new building, other site components included a salt and material storage facility, fueling station, yard storage areas, and separate entry and parking areas for staff and the public to aid in site circulation and security.
