Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, OH | Price Hill Branch Renovation and Addition

Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, OH | Price Hill Branch Renovation and Addition

The Price Hill Branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County was originally slated to receive upgrades to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Due to some unexpected interior building failures, the library decided it was best to remodel the existing building and expand the planned addition.

This 1909 historic Carnegie-funded library had never seen a large renovation. This project replaced the existing roofing system; expanded the services and capabilities of the branch library, adding long-overdue access and inclusion;
and updated the facility to address the needs of the 21st century. This new building is LEED Certified and ADA-compliant.

Fishbeck provided full architectural services for the design of the completed facilities, including civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineering, and interior design. Fishbeck was involved during all project phases from programming through schematic design, design development, bidding, and application for permits. Fishbeck also provided construction observation and management services.
