Frederik Meijer Gardens

Frederik Meijer Gardens

The West Michigan Horticultural Society began planning for this facility with the intent of providing the West Michigan area with a multi-use horticultural center. It quickly became one of the most popular attractions in the state and continues to expand its educational, special event, and display spaces to satisfy community needs and regional demands.

Frederik Meijer Gardens was carefully designed to respect and showcase the natural hills, ponds, and wetlands of the 150-acre site. The facility site offers numerous types of gardens intermingled with major sculpture displays. Fishbeck participated in the first two phases of this highly successful project as the prime design consultant and was responsible for: project management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and structural engineering.
