The existing pedestrian bridge spanning the Grand River in downtown Grand Rapids needed rehabilitation to continue serving as a popular tourist destination during Art Prize and a scenic location for wedding ceremonies and photographs.
The full reconstruction of Forest Avenue, bound between Hill Street and South University in downtown Ann Arbor, involved numerous Fishbeck engineering disciplines
This project involved full reconstruction of one of the most highly traveled and well-known roadways in Macomb County, with an extremely high density of consumer-based businesses.
From 2013 to 2015, Fishbeck assisted the City of Grand Rapids with grant applications, preliminary/final design, and construction of 3.5 miles of multi-use pathway on the west side of the Grand River.
Fishbeck designed a solution providing safer, more efficient traffic movement and a fresh, clean, and aesthetically pleasing entrance to Western Michigan University.
