Selected as the designer in 2018, Fishbeck developed a construction plan set which involved roadway, bridge, and hydraulic design for two structures along SR 122 in Preble County. ODOT District 8 needed to rehabilitate twin, four-sided box culverts at PRE-122-14.41 over Aukerman Creek and a 200-foot, 3-span steel beam bridge at PRE-122-17.69 over Aukerman Creek.
Preservation work on the project included inspection, replacement of box sections with cast-in-place construction, hydraulic improvements, bearing and joint replacement, new approach slabs, fiber wrapping substructure units, and roadway approach work. The use of a J-Weir at the upstream end of the PRE-122-17.69 bridge was a first of its kind for the District. Fishbeck performed management, utility coordination, roadway, bridge and hydraulic design.
