Fishbeck designed the reconstruction of a single-span structure carrying Hazel Avenue over Sexton-Kilfoil Drain in the City of Lincoln Park. The project included removing the entire existing T-Beam bridge and replacing it with spread prestressed concrete box beams on cantilever abutments. In addition to the bridge design, hydraulic and scour analysis, scour countermeasures, and approach reconstruction were also designed. An existing water main ran on the underside of the deck supported between T-beams. Replacement of the exposed water main included special details for weather protection and steel supports anchored to the spread box beams.
