Water is the world’s most abundant natural resource, and arguably the most fragile. Many of our clients carry the responsibility to provide clean, safe water to the public and other customers. We strive to partner with our clients to address the many complex challenges they face, whether it be regulatory or capacity driven, or due to aging infrastructure. We specialize in water supply, treatment, storage, pumping and distribution. We understand the complex regulatory framework facing the water industry and maintain a strong presence in the professional organizations that serve it. We strive to leverage technology with proven methods to identify solutions that are effective, efficient, and economical.

Wastewater professionals have the responsibility to protect our vital water resources. The challenges involved in that effort change frequently. The responses to more stringent discharge regulations, capacity limitations, aging infrastructure, and funding gaps must continually be addressed. Our wastewater experts are committed to applying the most appropriate technologies and methods, and delivering practical, results-oriented solutions that will meet project goals and provide excellent client service. Fishbeck recognizes effective performance of water resource recovery facilities and infrastructure is necessary in a sustainable culture. We seek to partner with our clients, working with them to develop economical and sustainable ways to collect, reclaim, and reuse our shared water resources.

Fishbeck has been a leader in asset management and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in Michigan. We routinely work with large and small communities to complete their Asset Management Programs using a flexible, client-based approach that allows us to tailor our methodology to each client’s needs, whether seeking a full-service approach or training, oversight, and consulting. Our staff are certified in asset management through the Buried Asset Management Institute (BAMI), active in the Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA) Asset Management Committee, and have presented on asset management at various MWEA seminars and conferences. We have many staff certified by NASSCO in the PACP/MACP/LACP certification program and as GIS Certification Institute GIS Professionals. Fishbeck maintains current ESRI ArcGIS© and AutoCAD software licenses. We use real-time data collection and inspection procedures along with GPS-enabled equipment to help clients locate and document existing assets.
