To support the growing student population preparing for health profession careers, GVSU needed to offer the necessary laboratory research space to provide for student and faculty advancement.
Funded by the State of Michigan Capital Outlay Program, the new science laboratory provides increased and improved facilities for instructional and research activities. The building was designed to provide optimal functional space requirements and relationships that support the teaching and learning mission of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The building design utilizes a planning module that provides initial planning flexibility for laboratory, classroom, and office space, as well as the ability to adapt building space to academic need over the life of the building.
