Fishbeck | Architectural Department Renovation

Fishbeck’s Grand Rapids office recently underwent a renovation bringing an open workspace concept to our Architectural Department. This new flexible layout helps foster collaboration and promotes learning.

Renovation highlights include glass fronts on private offices to allow natural light to penetrate the space; private “me” spaces available to all staff, and public “we” spaces for small, impromptu meetings and team collaboration including a lounge; an abundance of white boards including pin-up space for brainstorming projects; technology upgrades, large tables for use as project layout and standing meeting space; height-adjustable work surfaces; and layout space on common surface between cubicles.

In addition to the new carpet, lighting, and paint, the space redesign also allows for seven additional work spaces.

This renovation aligns with Fishbeck’s LEED for Existing Buildings: O&M standards for its headquarters by providing a healthier indoor environment for their employees with sustainable furnishings and building materials, and efficient lighting systems.
