As a newly formed division of a larger company, Red Cedar Investment Management (RCIM) needed a dynamic space for their headquarters operation. This 6th floor, 4,200-sf corner lease space with sweeping views of the Grand River valley provided unique design opportunities to align with the client’s simple design brief — modern, open aesthetic with transparency to the outside.
A grouping of enclosed executive offices along one side of the area is balanced with an open office environment acting as the hub of the space. A work café opens to the office, allowing for impromptu meetings and collaboration with a beautiful, custom high-top surface for working or entertaining. The board room takes center stage with expansive views and an elevated finish palate to facilitate high-level investment conversations. When not in use, a floor to ceiling fabric veil can be pulled back to expose a full-height glass wall for direct visual connection from the open office to the city view.
