Fishbeck was hired by Matthei Colin Associates, Architects out of Chicago to provide full mechanical and electrical engineering services to support the major renovations of two Operating Rooms. Both rooms were being enlarged to 600 square feet and were outfitted with new state of the art medical and monitoring equipment. The project was implemented in two phases with the first phase being occupied before the second phase started. In addition to replacing all mechanical and electrical distribution systems, we replaced the central air handler that serves the entire Surgery Suite. The existing air handler was mounted on a floor stand so we were able to install the new air handler beneath the existing one. This allowed for a very brief service interruption over the weekend to connect and start up the new air handler.
