The Valley Dining Center is a 63,000-sf, 2-story building, located on the campus of Western Michigan University. The University’s purpose for the facility was to provide an iconic dining and social venue that complemented and enhanced the campus community. The new facility primarily consists of restaurant-style themed food stations (micro-restaurants) and a retail café, kitchen with support, service, storage areas, social and private dining spaces, retail stores, offices, and building service spaces. Fishbeck provided LEED Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning services.
The Valley Dining Center received LEED Gold and earned two points for the Energy and Atmosphere Credit 3 - Enhanced Commissioning.
