Caledonia Township partnered with Fishbeck to develop a project plan for design and construction improvement services to their WWTP. Through State Revolving Funds (SRF) awarded by EGLE, improvements were designed to increase the rated capacity of the existing facility from 0.5 MGD to 0.75 MGD, while allowing for a change from a groundwater discharge to a surface water discharge. The headworks building also received in-tank improvements including an Enviro-Care shaftless spiral mechanical screen with integral manual bypass and upgrades to the electrical and controls systems including a stand-by power generator. Construction began in 2022 and is ongoing.
