City of Fairborn | Calamityville Brownfield Site In Situ

The City of Fairborn, Ohio and Wright State University (WSU) joined together to seek Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund (CORF) grant funding to remedy environmental impacts identified at the former cement manufacturing property and prepare it for future redevelopment. Fishbeck was hired by WSU to collect additional data to determine the extent of trichloroethene (TCE)-impacted groundwater identified at the site during a previous assessment. Fishbeck teamed with The Payne Firm (an Ohio Voluntary Action Program [VAP]-certified professional), located in Cincinnati, to complete the investigation and address the Ohio Department of Development, Ohio EPA questions and comments, and revise the remedial action plan, project assumptions, and cost estimate documents. Fishbeck entered into a subconsultant contract with The Payne Firm to complete groundwater remediation, water main design management, and demolition design and management services.
