Clemens Food Group selected the City of Coldwater, Michigan, as the location for their new 578,000-sf pork processing facility. Now operational, the facility is expected to process at least 10,000 hogs per shift, all of which will be sourced through several regional family farms.
Once Clemens Food Group selected Coldwater as the location for its new state-of-the-art processing facility, it was advised to secure a Michigan-based environmental consultant to secure the air permit and other required environmental permits. Clemens selected Fishbeck to secure the air permit before starting construction. Since the facility started operating, Fishbeck has supported Clemens through the development of its Pollution Incident Prevention Plan (PIPP), USEPA Risk Management Plan (RMP), Spill Prevention, Countermeasure and Control Plan (SPCC), and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Since Clemens does not have onsite environmental support, Fishbeck also completes stormwater observations and sampling and assists with other routine environmental programs.
