Manoogian Hall was originally constructed in the 1960s as a general academic building with traditional classrooms. Wayne State University asked Fishbeck to create flexible, interactive teaching/learning environments and develop corridors and alcoves where students could plug in and work. Due to the era of the building, the technology infrastructure needed to be enhanced to support these functions. Fishbeck provided architecture, interior design (including furniture selection), mechanical and electrical engineering, and A/V technology design.
