Fishbeck was part of a design team for a new 6-level parking ramp, providing 1,250 spaces in downtown Grand Rapids. The ramp has shared uses between Corewell Health (formerly Spectrum Health) employees and GVSU students in the health/nursing programs at the GVSU Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences.
The ramp replaces the existing surface parking lots owned by GVSU and Corewell Health. The two institutions collaborated with the City of Grand Rapids and the Neighbors of Belknap Lookout organization to preserve space in nearby residential neighborhoods. The facility will meet the parking needs of employees and students and ease the burden on residents living near the area.
