Fishbeck was contacted to calculate volume quantities for stock piles of product at a local energy facility in Michigan. The piles are seperated into different piles depending on the type of product produced. Each stock pile was complex in shape which makes it difficult to get an accurate volume from a traditional survey. To overcome this challenge the Fishbeck UAS team obtained updated aerial imagery and post-processed the data in a software to calculate volumes of stockpiles. A volume report was completed and provided to the client to have an accurate quantity of each stock pile.
