Fishbeck performed transportation engineering, survey, and UAS services for the widening and reconstruction of Glosser Road. Improvements included widening from two to three lanes, a single lane roundabout at the intersection of US 42 and Glosser Road, a railroad crossing upgrade, new storm sewer improvements, a new 10’ wide multi-use path with a prefabricated pedestrian truss bridge crossing over Turtle Creek, and a new precast concrete box culvert. Online resources for aerials of this project site were out of date. Thus, the Fishbeck UAS team captured an updated aerial utilizing ground control points set during the traditional survey to tie the two together. Furthermore, CAD linework for the proposed roundabout alignment was overlaid to aid in identifying potential project impacts.
