Fishbeck was selected to perform structural engineering services for the City of Wilmington for their new 3.4-mile pedestrian trail along Lytle Creek. Initial services included the inspection and inventory of four existing railroad abutments with an inspection report and repair recommendations to rehabilitate and reuse for the new pedestrian superstructures.
Fishbeck also served as the City’s structural engineer for the design-build of the five new bridges along the corridor, ensuring compliance for the design-build team and meeting ODOT and City guidelines. Fishbeck assisted in preparing and reviewing the scope of services for the advertised project, reviewed and approved shop drawings and bridge plans, and attended construction meetings throughout construction to maintain the aggressive construction schedules.
