With increased visitor volume and robust children’s programming, Herrick District Library’s North Branch needed to add additional space to its existing 5,000-sf building. A complete renovation to the existing building, along with a 5,500-sf addition, will serve as a new community focused facility.
As a newly formed division of a larger company, Red Cedar Investment Management (RCIM) needed a dynamic space for their headquarters operation. This 6th floor, 4,200-sf corner lease space with sweeping views of the Grand River valley provided unique design opportunities to align with the client’s simple design brief — modern, open aesthetic with transparency to the outside.
The WMU Grand Rapids campus serves approximately 1,500 students offering primarily graduate-level programs in business, engineering, health and human services, education, and counseling. The expansion of the building was needed to accommodate future growth of these educational programs.
Fishbeck provided full A/E services to support the renovation of a 980-sf operating room at the University of Michigan Samuel and Jean Frankel Cardiovascular Center. The room features Siemens Artis-Q single-plane interventional imaging equipment, six Skytron booms, Storz Integration, Mac-Lab Hemodynamic Recording Systems, and various owner-provided equipment. In this project, Fishbeck used augmented reality (AR) to convey the 3D detailed spatial relationships and 360-degree turns to our client and stakeholders
Since their inception, the engineering programs at Hope College have experienced consistent growth. Due to this sustained expansion, many of the courses and labs have been held in spaces converted from other programs within VanderWerf Hall.
