Used historic drain documents, County staff comments, and aerial photos to update the GIS database and create a more complete designated drain centerline map. Tasks included meeting with staff to collect input, assigning drains to correct layer in GIS, verifying naming convention, eliminating overlapping drain information. Utilizing a replica geodatabase checked out from Macomb County, updated all county drain linework. All open and enclosed County drains were updated. Data schema changes were made in collaboration with the Macomb County GIS. Identified areas throughout the County that have been developed, and updated drain centerline locations based on as-constructed drawings.
Assisted in developing GIS standards for collecting and storing field inspection data. Coordinated the transfer of GIS information from multiple consultants in the County GIS system. QA/QC of data being collected by consultants on behalf of the County.
