Outstanding Achievement Award through ACEC Ohio

The SEN-19-14.34 bridge replacement project pioneered the use of stainless steel prestressing strands and reinforcing steel in precast box beams in Ohio. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Fishbeck successfully partnered to deliver the inaugural components of design, fabrication, and construction of stainless steel prestressing strands in the bridge superstructure. The project included the development of design software aids to offer a streamlined process for future ODOT projects with stainless steel strands in box beams, as conventional bridge software programs are not applicable for this material. The new bridge will provide safe access along SR 19 and the northern Ohio communities for 100 years to come.
