Goodwill of Battle Creek retained Fishbeck to develop a prototype design for their new retail centers. Goodwill wanted the prototype to be a modern retail outlet with ample windows and lighting to highlight their inventory. The building also had to be cost-effective, simple to build, and adaptable to different locations. Most of the sites under consideration were located towards the rear of larger retail properties; therefore, the design included a lighted tower to improve visibility from the street. Fishbeck provided all architectural and engineering services and served as construction manager. The combination of design and construction management expertise ensured the project was completed on schedule and under budget.
